2,300 € more direct revenue per month — no Uber cut
Two hotels as chauffeur customers. Fixed prices, fixed rides, no Uber commission. How rental car bosses build direct customers — with no sales team.
Uber takes too much of your money
You drive only for Uber and Bolt. Uber takes 25 to 30 percent of every ride. That is your money, gone. Uber sets the prices, not you. The customer belongs to Uber, not you.
And if Uber wants more tomorrow? You are stuck. This has happened many times in the last three years.
The answer is not: leave Uber. The answer is: a second leg to stand on. Direct customers. Companies that ride often. Hotels that need chauffeurs. Law firms going to the airport. Companies with a shared car.
These customers exist. They want to work with you directly. But only if they can see you.
A real example: 2,300 € per month
Yusuf is a rental car boss in Cologne. Three months ago, he built a Fahrly website. Just a simple template. Company name. Prices. Two car photos. A contact form for companies.
No big work. No money to an agency.
Two nearby hotels found him on Google. They filled the form. They booked a meeting. After the first talk, both signed. Now they book four fixed rides every week. Fixed prices.
After three months: 2,300 € more revenue per month. No Uber commission.
With a 40 percent margin, that is about 900 € extra profit. Every month. Again and again.
Cost? One afternoon for the website. Two meetings. One contract.
Four ways that always work
1. Your own website. Not for ads. Just so companies can find you. People google "chauffeur service Cologne" every day. You only need to be on Google page one once. Then requests come on their own.
2. Visit hotels nearby. The concierge (that is the person at the front desk) is always looking for chauffeurs. You need: 15 minutes, a price list, a business card. After a few weeks, the first requests arrive.
3. IHK and trade groups. For airport trips and chauffeur work, IHK lists are important. It is free. It takes time. But the customers stay a long time.
4. Referrals. Every company customer knows one more. You just have to ask. Politely. At the end of a good job.
Why many bosses still do not do it
Because Uber is "easier." No math. No contracts. No invoices. Uber pays after two weeks. Done.
Direct customers are more work. You must: keep in touch. Do the math on prices. Write contracts. Track rides. Send bills. Check that they paid.
Without a system, it does not work.
What Fahrly does for you
That is why CRM (this is where your customers are saved) and Dispatch (this is where you plan rides) live in Fahrly. A request comes in from your website. It lands as a "deal" (a possible customer) in the CRM. The deal becomes a contract. The contract makes the rides on its own. Every ride is billed. The bill goes out.
You do no Excel work anymore. That saves many hours per week.
The simple math
Two company customers. Each with four rides per week. 50 € per ride. No commission. That is 1,600 € revenue per month. With three customers, 2,400 €. With five, 4,000 €.
The setup only costs a few hours. And the money comes back every month. Planned. Safe.
Second important question: What if Uber raises the cut to 35 %? If you have only Uber, this is a huge problem. If 30 % of your money comes from direct customers, it is only annoying. Not an emergency.
The first step
The fastest way is your own website. Take a Fahrly template. Chauffeur or airport. Type in your company name and prices. Add two car photos. Turn on the contact form.
You buy the domain right inside Fahrly. Hosting runs on Cloudflare.
After one afternoon, you are online. The first Google rankings come in four to eight weeks. Local searches are not so hard to win.
Also: spend one afternoon at three hotels near you. Bring the price list. Ask: "Who else is looking for chauffeurs?"
From these two actions you get three to five requests in the first month. Not all become customers. But two are enough. Then you already have 2k € more revenue. Every month.
